Welcome to Ippon Karate Academy.
Formally trading as Samurai Karate Laverton we are now independent and operating as Ippon Karate Academy. For 10 years we have been offering classes for all ages and abilities with training to support personal development in a positive and rewarding environment.

We are a professional and trusted family owned and operated karate club based in Laverton servicing Point Cook, Williams Landing, Altona Meadows, Truganina, Altona, ​Hoppers Crossing, Williamstown, Werribee and Tarneit areas.

With over 20 years of experience in martial arts tuition our club is led by 4th Dan Jun Shidoin instructor Simon Hunt with male & female instructors all being internationally recognised black belts and who have developed their teaching skills through our structured Leadership program.

Our team of instructors are all internationally recognised black belts and government accredited coaches. 
Health & safety for staff and visitors is our number one priority. Our practices include thorough cleaning & disinfecting and the building has natural airflow with high ceilings. We have also installed hospital grade hepa air purifier systems throughout the building to improve air quality.
